As a young professional...
As a young professional (will be graduating law school next year) my parents decided I could get an early gift (Rolex).
Deciding between three different Sub Cs. Hulk, Two Tone Blue, Two Tone Black. The classic SS black is too common for me, I want something a little different. I think I would be more "comfortable" in a SS watch (hulk) because its less flashy. However, the two tone watches I find to be classier. In reality, I will be a 1 Rolex guy for at least the next ten years. I'm 26 currently. While I believe that I would enjoy the hulk the most in the immediate future, do you think I would still be happy with it 5+ years out or is the green more of a novelty? The TT watches might be better long term potential for my needs? Thoughts? I would create a poll but I don't see where to do so. Thank you. |

Get whichever you like better. 1 rolex for the next 10 years? Not if you stay around here!

A watch with a green bezel and face is going to be flashy. In fact, all your choices are flashy in my opinion.

I should also mention that my father purchased both the TT Blue and TT Black last week for himself. He said I could use one of his subs or if I really like the hulk then I could go ahead and pick one up. Which ever watch I end up choosing I could always switch off watches every few months or so when I see my father. |

An all green watch is not terribly versatile IMO.
You may be a bit young for Two Tone...I'd stick with Stainless steel. |

I'm 23. Started my career last year and bought a Hulk after my school debt was paid off. Have you tried any of them on? I think the green dial is really captivating (totally different watch in different lighting situations), and I haven't found myself wanting any other colorways for subs.
If you're big into coordinating your accessories with your outfits, maybe the TT for versatility. The unpolished bracelet of the hulk makes it less flashy, but the dial gives it the flare you're probably looking for at this age! The green sub is not really recognizable to non-watch enthusiasts. Ironically the only time anyone really wanted to look at my watch is because they thought it looked like their Seiko diver and then they were taken aback that it was a Rolex. Probably because of my age. Just my personal experience. |

The hulk sounds like a nice balance between understated and flash but I am concerned whether this watch will keep my interest in the long haul without looking cheesy. |

assuming you'll be working at a law firm, which tend to be very conservative, you will probably be most happy with TT black

If you're going with TT, I would go TT black. Sharp looking watch IMO. The blue and green... not so much but that's just my taste.

I would go with the SS SUB LV. I think a SS is the best watch to have if you are going to limit yourself. My first watch was a TT and I waited a whole two months before buying a SS. I just thought the TT was too dressy for some situations.

SS Sub would be the least flashy. But from your choices I would consider the TT Black to be the least flashy, followed by Hulk, then TT Blue.

I have the hulk but since your in law it can't hurt your image to go with a tt. It will look great with your suit and project success.

You are a young professional, but you can't figure out how to create a poll? I think you'll probably want another watch within a year of purchasing your sub, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. You should choose the watch that appeals the most to you. If you don't want a flashy watch, you should get the ExpI.

TT Black Sub. You should also consider a DJ or DJII, counselor.

Right now I'm leaning towards buying the Hulk and switching off every few months with the Black Two Tone Sub C. I believe this would give me the best of both worlds, and I already got the green light to pull the trigger on the Hulk if I love it. Going to look at the Hulk in a couple hours...

As an owner of the The green Ceramic Sub, I can confirm that it is a SUPER versatile timepiece. Stay away from vintage until you are ready to be extremely picky! Good luck!

I really think you should take a look at the LN (black SubC) again as well. It is popular because of its versatility and suitability in multiple settings. The Hulk is a bit of flash bordering on bling that may be a little over the top for a junior associate IMHO (as a senior lawyer). Same thing for the TT, but I do think the TT black would be a better fit in a law office.

Should I throw a loop in here, get a Hulk and a Panerai, two totally different looks!

I wasn't going to say anything, but I suspect the Hulk might earn a new college graduate the title of "that kid with the green Rolex" at more than a few firms.

i would say don't limit yourself. start thinking about other options. there are a ton of nice watches.
GMTIIC not as common and not flashy, especially if you brush the links. The new explorer II's are stunning and the DJII's would be great in any enviornment. Take you time, and find the right watch for you.
