Something Big This Way Comes - What a big cup! (Adult Content)

Chanced upon this big, black beauty at a good price - last buy before 2012 ended, with an interesting tale..

To cut a long story short - I saw on a website selling many Corum pieces at attractive prices, narrowed down to a few, emailed the dealer that I planned to go over to view the favored pieces & choose just 1, and had actually booked the transport & hotel to travel 5 hours by coach to the neigboring country...Just few days before travelling, was visiting a clinic & thought I'd just pop into a dealer's shop just one floor down just to browse...

"You like big watches right? I've 1 big 1 that just came in, a Corum..."

Guess what? The exact piece that I'd narrowed down among a few,at a substantially lower price, unworn piece...

"Be careful what you wish for..."

Serendipity...

Speechless...

Corum Admiral's Cup 48 Chronograph...

Thank you for reading...

Congratulations. Corum make fabulous watches . Their work, often underrated by the WIS community, is of the highest quality.
I have 3 Corum watches and they are a highly valued part of my collection.
Just to share in your joy , here are my three.

Nice collection of Corum! My friend likes the one with the black dial..And thanks for the affirmation, Corum doesnt seem to be popular nor commonly sighted (partly why I chose it besides its sheer size), but I realise they do have quite interesting designs - I thought the locks on the chronograph pushers are interesting & unique..

Thanks the Jump Hour with the black dial is number 001 of a limited edition of 300. Quite rare as the makers usually keep number 1. From my research it seems to have been issued by mistake.

Very nice indeed. Corum are fine watches that I've had my eye on for a couple of years
