Let a watchmaker do it, you will make a mess of it yourself

Correct ! Bearing in mind that you ask "How ?", that means that you lack the knowledge.
It has to come our "straight" so it does NOT hurt the acrylic, and aftrwards to be push fit back to place and be water tight as well. You could use a sharp blade to take it out, clean the sitting area, and then replace. But I would NOT suggest it. You need a press. BTW. Nice classic with this leather combo and the pan dial. What is the age ? It should be before 1980.

Let a watchmaker handle it, you have a beautiful DJ, not worth the risk in my opinion..

Thanks for the reactions!
I was thinking to polish the sides of the case slightly, and brush the upside. Any thoughts or advice? |

can be done with the right tools, you really need a bezel remover with a datejust its on pretty tight, and you also need a press to put it back for sure even if you manage to get it off, getting in on is near impossible without the right die and press. Ps, the bezel you are changeing looks like the higher version off a sapphire crystal model, it could just be the pics but the older models had lower bezel height.

Removed the bezel myself with a knife and it worked really wel, but decided to put it back on because it's the original one, and the other is indeed higher and from a 2010 daydate.
