Combat Tour and your Rolex

This thread was inspired by "Your Rolex and Your Profession" and "Your College Degree and Your Rolex" threads.

Since I've been in the Army I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with NATO and non NATO allies, and have shared some wonderful stories regarding our times in combat. Albiet, not were all gloomy, but some really heart touching situations transpired.

So, regardless of country of origin, please share the name of your combat tour or tours, and Rolex.

I had a 16570 Explorer II but it's long gone.

It's good to see another member of the armed forces on here. You will find a lot us active and retired/vets here.

I am the type of person that when I see someone in uniform, I walk up to them, shake their hand and tell them "thanks for serving".

To be honest most are quite surprised! But I feel it is worth it to let them know that we appreciate what they do for us!

OEF in and out from 2009 - 2011, 16610 went with me but wore a Casio or Suunto 95% of the time.

Retired from the Air Force in 2001. When in, could never afford as one does not serve to get rich. Now that I am on my "second" career, my wife treated me to a TT Sub in Black for Christmas. Somehow, it just makes me feel good to wear it...

After over 20 years of 24/7 wear, I retired my SD that I bought through the old PX system (back when they carried nice items) when I was an E4 Paratrooper. Upgraded to a better fitting TT mid-size YM, but with no tritium, it was hard to read at 0400 in the AM. In a fit, I went down to a B&M dealer and bought an EXII, been wearing it daily for the last 7 years. Currently in OEF.
Bring back tritium.

... and he is to blame for me getting mine a few years later! We all used to drool over his... Started with a 16710 Coke (since stashed away for Jr.), took a detour with a 116400, and now have a 16570 Polar too...

Tours where bullets be flyin' in SEA, SA, SWA, and now AF with them.

Thanks, Bro. Miss ya and stay safe!
