Need opinions please, yep, another "What would you do?"...

So I have the opportunity to trade my 16613 Y serial TT sub with lug holes for a SS GMT II Ceramic plus a little cash. I love both watches and am torn. I'd love some opinions from the good folks here...

I love the new ceramic models so I'd go for it.

I would say go for the GMTIIc. I just came from the same watch that you have and got the two tone GMTIIc and I love it!

Different watch of course but I think you would be happy with the change!

Upgrades are cool, in this case since you love them both there will be no love lost.

You love both watches and are torn. . . therefore, you should keep the one you have and save for the GMTIIc. The 16613 is a true classic that will only become more beloved as the years pass. The GMTIIc is current production and will only become more accessible.

I fear you'll regret selling the bluesy. Better to do without the GMTIIc for a while until you can buy one outright. What's the hurry?

GMT2- gold/SS - think its one of the bets ever made by Rolex - great eye catcher - just go for it - you'll never regret it

I'd say keep the Sub. That blue is classic. Way better than the new ceramic version. If your Sub was a 16610 I'd say do the trade as they seem to be everywhere but yours not so much IMO. The gmtc is everywhere. You can get anytime and usually at a good price preloved. Good luck with your decision. As it just that. Yours.

Never trade or sell your Rolex.. These pieces keep more than time. They tell the story of your sacrifice and accomplishments. Every scratch makes it yours and yours alone...

This is truely a decision only you can make.

If you don't know, it's probably best to wait.

Not too much. I think the bluesy is absolutely beautiful, just not for me. I've gone through a DSSD, SubC, 14060, just can't get it right. I like the look of the PCL's on the bluesy, but I'm afraid it's a little too flashy for me with the gold, and it can be a little bigger. The hollow center links make the watch feel very light. I got rid of the DSSD because it was way too top heavy on my wrist. The SubC is a stunner but I'm looking for something a little bigger. I think the GMT II C fits the bill perfectly.

- PCL's (Not gold)
- Size is somewhere between the SubC and DSSD (New bracelet/solid feel)
- Multiple time zones (I fly alot)

Decisions decisions

Even though I like the blue/gold combo on the 16613, I would lean towards the GMT.

Depends...do you still wear yellow gold

I used to have a TT Blue Sub and TT DateJust. A few years ago I stopped wearing yellow gold, so therefore made it easier to part with those 2 watches. But is still think the TT Blue is an awesome looking watch...heck Rolex used it for their Billboards and advertisements for years.

If you like yellow gold...then keep. If you are not into the yellow...then it's an easy decision. Also with the GMT you will have the polished center links that will give you a little bling of the Sub

Good Luck
