I'm on the dark side. Wish you were here.

Oh, and for all you rock and roll ignoramuses, that's Roger Waters, original member of Pink Floyd and he's been wearing a Datejust for years. There's a great story by Nick Mason (the band's drummer) on how he bought a Paul Newman Daytona. I'll see if I can track it down.

I've also seen RW wearing a Sub/SD

Nick Mason was given a Rolex (I can't remember the model) by the EMI record label as a 'long service' gift... I will try to dig up some more details

Sounds about right, he's a race car nut.

A quote from Nick Mason regarding watches...

“I like watches, but not what I’d call in an Eric Clapton way! I mean, once you start buying expensive watches you can spend as much as on cars, and I’d always buy the car first. I do like steel aviation watches and the one I wear most of the time is a Breitling, and that came from a friend of mine who was flying with 41 Squadron, so it has the insignia on it. I also have a lovely Rolex Daytona that I bought new in the early Seventies. It was the first time we were ever paid in cash whilst playing abroad and on my way home we stopped in Geneva and I bought it.”

'ignoramuses'?

He was wearing a DJ on the few occasions I met him. Didn't catch Gilmour's watch when I met him though...

I think Gilmour does not usually wear a watch while playing on stage. I never noticed him wearing anything in particular while he was off stage either.
Never met him though

Very nice watch. I love floyd too! I saw Water's "The Wall" last summer. Closest thing for me to a Pink Floyd concert although I prefer the earlier less paranoid albums and then the later more positive direction Gilmour took the band but wish it had been all four together. Wish You Were Here and Dark Side were my favorites and are engrained in my psyche. Love all the clocks go off on Time for all the WIS's out there.
