Made in America!!

These are my two latest purchases. It's so difficult finding things made here anymore.

http://www.zappos.com/red-wing-herit...cherry-leather

http://compare.ebay.com/like/310566739549

Breaking them in is the hard part; but once that is done, it's purely heaven.

(I actually didn't buy the belt on Ebay; I bought it from a Red Wing Store. I just couldn't find a decent picture online.)

Yep, I agree.

When you get a chance, try some Aldens and Lucchese boots as well.

You know I have to say I'm spending more time reading labels and really trying to by made in USA. And avoiding mfg in china at all costs. Paying
Much more attention in areas like tools, pens, toys ... It's amazing to see how difficult it is. But I think worth it IMHO.

Unfortuunately I like buying quality products, as such not all are made in the USA.

Rolex, Omega, AP, Patek, and Crockett & Jones just to name a few.

As soon as I sent off I though of my wrist and knew I neglected to list some other items that I buy that are not made in USA. But I like you am looking at quality. And I hate to single countries out but I've been avoiding china these days.

Walmart in a way should be my capitalist hero, but they with us (consumer) has done so much damage.

Can you say cheap?

I hate that place on so many levels.

Once my wife clued me in on all the plastic and the associated plastic smells, places like that make me want to puke.

And yes after being lured in by cheap goods, soon the buyers looking for cheap products were out of jobs here. I know it's an oversimplification but...

It is a challenge, isn't it? But it matters to know where your stuff comes from.

Reminds me of the joke of the Chinese family that buys a souvenir in the U.S.A only to find out it was made in China.

True My daughters always say that "Dad never matches." But, I think, in my sartorial imperfection, there lies a trace of personal style. At least that's what I tell myself
