Purpose of key-hole?
Hello,
Does anyone know the purpose or history behind the Key-hole on a keeper? Thank you very much! V/R |

Some AMMOS have a sort of slit that looks like a key-hole in the keeper of the strap. Micah likes to utilize this look. He makes good straps, too. I have no idea where it comes from. I personally am not incredibly fond of it though. Probably just me.

Strap makers like to use the "key-hole" as the keeper of the strap. That piece is where the button is on the original ammo pouch. So they close the cover, thread the button through the "key-hole" and perhaps twist to secure the ammo pouch....
That's what I think it is..... |

Just for character / aesthetics methinks. I like it.

It is. It pays homage to where the material came from, an ammo pouch.

I like the fact that you get three floating keepers from John (D9) so that you can decided on the look you want...
