Interesting. The new 44mm ROO and Diver have stainless steel cases. Looks like a DLC 2013 for AP.

I thought the same but the description on AP website for diver is stainless steel case, the ROO has no description but I assume the same.

I hate to say but I definitely prefer the FC Yellow Diver over the Orange Ceramic version.

Making a diver out of supposedly brittle ceramic is kinda counterintuitive no?
I guess panerai did the same thing this year....

Can't believe all FC are discontinued, anyone know why? Glad I got mine when I did!
Looks like ceramic diver its a lot cheaper than FC too at $21800. |

The Diver is a Boutique only, so 21.8k is a great price, very fair. "Back to the question of FC going up in value" I don't think it will there is a substantial amount around and this wasn't actually a hit with the masses. Although I loved it! |

I'm surprised no one has commented on the "titanium glareproofed sapphire crystal caseback" on the Diver.
And to...

Maybe it should just read "titanium caseback"??
Well we know a sapphire caseback and 600m work on the new Omega 8500 PO. No reason AP can't do it...

I see a lot of SS Divers with clear casebacks in our future! Who is gonna be the first on here to get one fitted???? haha
BTW...a stainless Diver with the ceramic bezel and clear caseback could be the ultimate AP Diver!

Well, buy those FC Divers now as its officially discontinued and replaced with the ceramic Diver. IMO it's going to be a RARE watch over time. All other FC models will continue.

Probably not but the odds of ever running into someone with a FC Diver just dropped through the floor.
TBH I prefer the FC over the ceramic. A) it's lighter, B) I like yellow over orange, C) a display back on a dive watch bugs me. I'll be looking for a FC Diver. Now the ceramic 44mm ROOs? I'll likely get one. |
