How much discount AD can I get for Sub?

Hello.

I plan on getting my first Rolex this Christmas.

I saw a post that mentions Authorized Dealer could give discount.

There are two watches that I like. I would appreciate if I could get some estimation of the percent discount AD may offer.

Here is two watches:

Thank you.

The saying goes "Cash is King" if you walk in with cash money, I'm sure the AD will knock at least 10% off. Mine did.

My most recent discount was 10% off for CASH on my GMT-IIc.

TT and 18K have usually been discounted (if you ask), at least from what some friends have told me was their experience.

Is your "c" a S/S or a TT?

I'm looking at around 23% from my out-of-state AD for a new 16613. MSRP is $7,825, and if/when I pull the trigger, I'll pay $6K even (but that's with buying a second new Rolex for the wife - 179161, also for $6K). You all think I'm getting a good deal here?

Good luck here in SD. I'm looking at the "Z" GMT "Pepsi" and tried BB at Fashion Valley and got the cold shoulder, so I split. I tried Royal Maui and they are "contemplating" a discount. They say they will call me back, but I wont hold my breath.. If you find a discount let me know... Good luck

Welcome to TRF!
  • Discounts depend on
  • the AD size (if he gets Rolex watches often, and has more than one of the same model, it is easier to get a discount),
  • the Rolex watch model in question,
  • your negotiations skills and
  • payment method.

Both the AD and Rolex earn more on TT and YG/WG and other precious metal Rolex watches than on SS, and if the dial has diamonds, the AD earns even more.

Typically, a "regular" TT Sub could be discounted with 10 % easily, and maybe even 15 %.

The "Serti" version should be able to be discounted with 15 % or even up to 20 %.

Good luck!

Thank you for all the warm welcome and advises.

Tomorrow, I'm going to Ben Bridge ( I'm at San Diego), try to impress them with cash and hope that they wont give me the cold shoulder like Hydromaroc got :)

I wonder if local AD give "no sell tax" hmm.....
