Just to add a comment here. I am not good at recognising fake daytonas but with the thousands of photos that i 've seen from original watches i immediately understood that this is a fake watch. The dial looks really strange compared to an original daytona. The circles on the dial looks strange.

To start the printing on the dial is inferior and the crown is not symmetrical.

Things that stood out to me initially included the crown guards looking odd and the bracelet looking strange (the center links don't look polished).

"Large 2.5X date magnification (exactly the same as the original!)"

Yeah, right.

The minute hand is a dead give away.

On 99% of the Daytona fakes that I have seen, the minute hand always comes up short, meaning it does not extend into the minute markers area.

Yea, wow. That's a very telling marker on this fake!

Thanks!

You're welcome! I look at alot of "Replica" sites to see what is "out there". If someone is thinking about purchasing a Rolex from other than an AD, IMO, you MUST visit these sites and study carefully. I consider it the equivalent of knowing your enemy Make sure the site is picturing the actual watches that they are selling and not stealing real Rolex pics with the hands at 10:10. I have yet to see the "Fat Hands" Daytona's copied yet but it most likely is just a matter of time.

Daytona's do not have the date function, hence the sarcastic statement.

My recommendation would be to study the genuine article to a point that a fake will be obvious by comparision.

It avoids the need to visit the scumbag fake sites.

The author of the Rolex Report might disagree with that. That's why there are comparison shots of real and fake in there. IMO, my advice was no different.

Both the author of the Rolex Report and I would agree that the book is a fine read and useful reference.

I would recommend it to everyone. Better than feeding the fake sites.

Has anyone forwarded this site to Rolex? I am going to rite now and so should everyone else. I guarantee Rolex will look into them and hopefully get these scumbags shut down. It cant hurt.
