White gold or Everose (ER) gold?

I'm about to take delivery of my WG Daytona in the next couple of days.

However, I'm now wavering between either the WG or ER. My AD said I could make up my mind when I pick up the watch.

I know both are gold and both cost the same. I like the WG for its subtlety, but the ER for how it stands out. If I get the WG, I could wear it more often without the unnecessary attention, yet the my inner "chinese" feels that the ER is a better buy as an investment.

Any ideas and opinions?

Buy the one you know you will wear and enjoy the most! Forget about the investment aspect.

to me white gold looks like stainless steel. The watch in Ever rose looks more beautiful. But then again buy what your heart desires.

The everose daytona is gorgeous, but your gut originally chose the WG so I'd recommend sticking with your gut.

I hear you! Your more knowledgable muggers will go after your WG as well. I would just hate for your decision on this important piece to hinge on your concern of being mugged or not. All the best.

It's like a part of me feels that since both cost the same, getting WG may seem like i'm getting less bang for my buck.

I apologize for my indecisiveness :(

Forget them both. Buy stainless, maintain the same look and invest the difference

It would depend on the dial you're getting with WG. If it's the slate dial, then yeah WG. Otherwise, I'd vote black or brown dial RG.

Rose gold for me, it is just gorgeous with a croc strap. White gold looks like SS and as far as investment goes I believe SS will hold their value much better than WG.

I like em both. But prefer the WG. Love the dials. Love look as a whole.

I am going for the bracelet. I live in Malaysia so the weather isn't kind to leather straps with all the sweating

He means less depreciation on steel models vs gold models.

More knowledgable members here can correct me if I am wrong, as a rule of thumb SS sport model Rolex suffer less depreciation than their precious metal counterpart both in terms of dollar value and percentage.

Depends much on what you get a precious metal piece for. A savvy buyer will get gold at a very good discount. Therefore much less depreciation.

But buy at list and your correct. You lose a fortune.

i'm 25 years old, wouldn't the ER look rather out of place on my wrist?

At 24? Yes, colored gold would be a bit much, quite a bit much.

Even SS is a bit much. Buy a Tag. Just my humble opinion.

In sports models, I like the white gold, if it were a dress watch, I would say rose.

However like Kilyung said above, for the daytona, the dial would have to be considered In making the choice.
