16613 Blue upgrade to 116613 LB experience?

Hi all,

There seems to be a preference of the old 16613 blue nuances and 'sparkle' when compared to the newer 116613LB.

Just wondering if anyone actually upgraded their 16613 to the ceramic version - and either are happy with their decision or perhaps regretted and 'downgraded' again?

Very interested in hearing experiences, good or bad, with this...or anything related to the TT Subs really ;)

Thanks, M

For what its worth I prefer the old cobalt blue dial. The new shade of blue simply does not appeal to me. Obviously just my opinion.

I'm going to get a 16613 LB long before I get a 116613 LB.

My brothere just traded his s serial for the new lb and he loves it. The older model blue is more elegant than the new blue which seems more matte and sportier.

I've had both and much prefer my new LB C. The solid links and glide lock clasp are fantastic! As far as the color goes, I can't tell a major difference. In fact, I went into an AD the other day and the lady working there thought it was the old blue model until i pointed out the larger lugs. For what it's worth, mine is a random serial. Some have speculated that the newer LBC models have a darker blue dial.

The feel of the watch is very different.

Go try one on and see if you like it. The protruding crown may take some getting used to on the LB.

I don't care for the new blue on the ceramic. Love the old blue.

Love my old 16613 over the newer model. I would never sell it for one of those models though I would like to add one to the collection at some point.

I went from the old to new style and have never looked back. I was reluctant at first, but the maxi dial and solid bracelet/clasp pushed me to the new style, and I have no regrets!!!

I don't own either at the moment, but the new LB-C would be my choice.
I'll take the new case, clasp, bezel etc every time.

Well apart from the cosmetic changes they are still basically the same watch, yes the clasp is perhaps a improvement, but myself much prefer the 16613.The new type case is still rated the same W/R and ceramic bezel insert functions the same as the old one, so no real improvement there, perhaps a bit more bling if you are in to that.

I've had both, they are beautiful watches but my vote would go with the 116613 because of the bigger case and band. Good luck.

Case is the same size its just the lugs that look bigger.

Old blue all the way. Had bought the new blue and sold it. Don't care for it....too dull in my opinion.

I would just get the 16613. Really don't like the blue on the 116613.

Love the updates on the new; however, the color just isn't as magical as the old blue. The old was mesmerizing.

another 16613 thumbs up from me! the 116613 just looks a bit clumbsy and nowhere near as refined as the 16613!

I have the 116613LB but not the 16613. If I have to choose again I would stlll choose the 116613LB. Same choice between 116610LN and 16610, I guess I just like the newer design and features.

I also like the old blue better. When I had mine it was the color of the ocean in the sun !
