Microadjustment Help/Question

Hello everyone,

Just traded my sub ND for a black/red GMT II. I've been struggling to find the best combination of links removed and microadjustment for a perfect fit. I think I have it BUT the bracelt is set to the last hole (meaning the loosest hole) on the clasp. Does this weaken the strenth of the bracelt by any chance?

Thanks for your help

Jim

I don't believe it does. That is how I wear mine. I've also asked this question, receiving the same response. Open it up and wear it as you please. They are built like tanks.

It could be argued that lateral load on the pin is increased since the extra portion of link is not between the clasp sides providing a bit more "meat". But I think the calculation would be insignificant and probably similar to any other link in the bracelet.

It also would require a significant lateral, or side load at the pin and that is just not a likely occurrence outside of an accident..

If that happens, you probably have more issues than the side load of a bracelet pin....
