Dial Advice

I have a 16220 with a silver tapestry dial from 1997. It is my every day watch. Over the years it has become faded and blotchy. Due to this and also because I feel like a change, I am contemplating changing the dial. This is not a "What should I get?" request. It is a request for advice from those who own several watches of different dial colors. I am deciding between blue and white and also between stick and roman. Are any of these combinations easier to read than the others? Also, are some combinations considered more sporty than others? Thank you in advance.

I'm definitely a white dial person and always have been, especially looking back at the watches I've owned over the years. I find a white dial sporty, crisp, clean, and dressy all at the same time....especially on a DJ. So versatile.

Romans are my favorite, followed by white sticks. Both are timeless.

For me, darker dials are sportier and lighter one (especially white) dressier. Since I've got a few black dial watches, I would lean toward the white.

Stick dials are tough to beat for legibility, but I like the Romans for a change of pace and a slightly richer look.

As long as the hands are in contrast with the dial color you will read the time w/o a problem. Dark dials are more dresser. I have champagne dial with stick and hans are white gold I love the looks but a pain to read !

Thank you all for taking the time to respond. I agree that white is very nice. I will have to go to see some watches in person to decide on the sticks or romans.
