Personally I'm not a fan of the gold, but the SS is Super Sweet

I guess I've had a love affair with Daytonas for some time now! I've sold three in the past, including the strap Daytona in the photo, which I bought back later after a bad case of seller's regret.

Rumour has it that the solid gold Rolex watches will see a chunky increase in the next round of price increases.

Among other watches, I've owned a couple of Subs (miss the black dial TT; didn't wear the blue dial TT), a DJ, a TT GMT II (sold it to buy a SS/Plat YM), a couple of other Daytonas, a couple of Day-Dates, and a SS/Plat YM (grew tired of the monochrome look after 5 years; though I miss it sometimes). After all these years, I'm close to done; but it's possible I'll sell one or two for a special watch; maybe a Patek. I think of myself as a two watch guy; a Day Date and a Daytona (I just happen to have three versions of the Daytona!). |
