Some opinions on these 1016s - Experienced eyes needed
These are all 60 vintage Explorers. One is my birth year, but I am struggling with whether it is real. As a newbie in Rolex and a super extra newbie in Vintage, I would love some opinions on these contenders please.
Thanks! |

Hard to tell if the dials are refinished as the pictures a bit distorted after resizing. It is natural to have bit of tritium "bleeding" with the numbers on the dial. Better, full size pictures would help.
The case on 2 looks polished but not enough for proper spring bars to poke out. Issue is probably with the spring bars, not case. |

Wow. This is great feedback thanks. I have been so focused in dials I didn't even notice that pin
One thing I did notice is the crown on 1 looks different but I gues maybe it's just no screwed down? Do you have any stab in value of say 2 given it the best of thesaurus suggestions in where I could be looking? I have hit up all the sites in the vintage thread for dealers Thanks again!

number 2 only fro me, providing the spring bar is simply the wrong type and that is why it sticks out

As others of said, except for No.2 all have been redialed (well as far as can tell from those pics) anybody can do a redial and condsidering the quality of those they were no experts!! A dial redo can be anthing form minor touch up to complete....

#1 has the best case by a long way. You could pick your teeth with the lugs on the others.
I'd pass on all 4. |

yes, pass on all 4. #2 case is over polished, I suspect it has a service dial. You need to verify. Where is the bracelet?
