So I am thinking about buying another LV..

What say ye? The prices here in Japan are pretty darn good. The Dollar vs Yen is strengthening which is where my funds would come for it. Found an almost new M serial which has the rehaut which I love and all the trimmings. Box. Papers. Tags. Got the price down to about $6200 haggling today. I was merciless.

Might go back on Monday see if they will budge a bit more. If it is still there it might be meant to be...

Good. They are worth buying. Look at the prices of the last GMT's.

Yes. I have one with the stickers still on it that is killing me. I won't take the stickers off and I want to strap on an LV.

I do believe that in 10 years they will be the "Red Subs" of now.

Yea. No kidding. I had a chance to buy a pepsi new with a 3186 movement at MSRP a few years back and did not.

I am in rather the opposite position you are in.
I have 3 16610LV watches and I am trying to see one.
One of them is NOS with all stickers still on and I have in the bank safety deposit box.
Then 2 to wear but I only need 1. They are both m serials.

Check it out if you want a great 16610LV at a great price.

Well good luck.

I know the one I have is one of my favorites.

It's funny how a simple thing like a green insert can make such a difference.

I do like the Maxi Dial too though.

Would most seriously doubt that, its possible there are thousands more LVs than genuine Red subs in this world today.

Maybe so Peter but the prices are steadily climbing. Those with stickers on them are already fetching $8500-9000.

Used ones are climbing up slowly as well.

But only to those that are willing to pay yes its possible they will rise over the years but don't expect a a fortune. Not like say the vintage Daytona from the 1980s that cost then just around £890 to what they bring today. Now IMHO with the price you pay for any LV today you will never see that sort of return like most of the Vintage watches when bought at that time retail.

This I agree with.

The LVs sold well. Those Daytonas did not thus are really rare.

I am just seeing fewer and fewer LVs for sale here in Japan. When I ask about one the sales staff"s answers are getting more and more in the vein of how difficult they are for them to get for a customer wanting one.

Good luck!

LV is one of my favorites but I think it'll be hard to negotiate in Japan?

BTW, any recommendation for good places to check out Rolex other than Nakano Broadway?
