Sub-C for Explorer II?

The Sub-C LN was my first Rolex (previously I had Omegas).

The craving for the LV Hulk never went so have now purchased one and awaiting arrival from my AD!! Very excited lol

Whilst waiting for the Hulk I developed a craving for a DSSD. The beast arrived and boy do I love it, the Sub C LN seems a little redundant now as they are both black divers and I love the chunky heavier beast!!! Never had THAT feeling with the LN (dont get me wrong I love it, but the DSSD is special)

Have a soft spot for the 42 Explorer II (black), I am thinking about swapping out the Sub C LN for one but as usual heart says one thing, head another

This would leave me with:

The big black beast
The Hulk
Explorer II

Nice diverse collection? (I guess the Polar would make it even more diverse but the black "sings" to me)

Any advice or opinions appreciated lol.

Normally, I'd say no.

But considering you path and your collection: I say absolutely go for it.

No question about it.

I say do it but go for the polar. That will give you a liitle more diversity in the collection.

Yeah I think im going to make sure I give the Polar another look at an AD first. Some pics I am very attracted to it and others not!! In fact I was first attracted to it over the black but its swung the other way!

I would certainly go for the one with "that" feeling lol

Normally, I would say Keep the Sub, and save for the EXP II. But seeing as you love your Deep Sea and the sub would be a little redundant, I would say trade it for the EXP. I will tell you, The EXP is an amazing watch. I got mine in black last week and I'm blown away by it

I wouldn't do it. But if you feel compelled I'd get the white dial. A white dial Daytona, however, would be a good addition to your collection and give you something more dressier and different.

Do it, but go to an AD and do some direct comparisons of the polar and black EXP II, to be sure .

Go with polar, it will complement your already nice collection there. And try the rubberb with the dssd, it will change the overall look and you will love it even more. Then you can put the awesome glidelock on the polar. Super!

Just reas that the black sings to you more, go with that is also fine. The matte black of exp is different from dssd. Brownish hue on the exp makes it special too.

Do it, though I would go Polar otherwise you'll have dark dials on all 3.

I'll do it but like what most people are saying. Compare the black and polar exp II and see what really you want.

Sounds like its a go.

To me, it doesn't matter if you end up with 3 dark dialled watches if the black Explorer II is what you prefer.
