New to forum and Rolex
Greetings all, I'm new to Rolex and this Forum. I have been fortunate enough to recently receive a vintage 1601 from my father (he received it as a gift from my grandfather in the late fifties).
It's in pretty rough shape compared to examples I've seen in the forum, but it is a Rolex after all...as you can see the face is degraded, but all else seems to be in order. On the bracelet there are two numbers, 455 on one side and 455B on the other between the bracelet and the head. Any thoughts on replacement of the face, if possible? Thanks in advance for any thought or advice. Best, TM |

Thanks!
Actually, I had read the thread about "vintage-ness..." First thing is to find a competent person to perform service and get things running right. We're running about four minutes fast in 24 hours. |

the watch is cice dont change or touch the dial, the bezel is rare (checkerboard pattern)
if the endpieces say 455 the band is probably a fake replacement as this is incorrect
