Icon9 Should I buy.. Rolex steel and rose gold with black diamond dial..

Hello everyone,
I currently owned a rolex 41mm dd2 diamond dial.. But I really want to buy this steel and rose gold 36mm with diamond dial.. But I don't know what to do with my current rolex watch because I love it as well, and you cannot wear both of it in the same time... Don't know what to do.... I don't want to sell my current watch because it brings me a lot of luck.. I got a big oil and gas company job as a student and pay was like top 10 company in the world that you can name it ( microsoft,google,..) when I was bringing my watch with me that day,but I didn't wear it.. Because I was going to exchange it for another watch.. But of course, the seller didn't want to take it back.. Anyways, I brought this lovely watch with me to the interview and I got the job within two days.. That job is like dream job for any accountants.. Since then, I wore it everyday and it brings me luck.. And I really mean it.. For example, I thought I was not going to get this or that marks or jobs but I got it.. Tell me how could I leave my watch alone... Please share your lucky story since you bought rolex...

Go for it. It's okay to have more then one Rolex, or any watch, even though you can only wear one at once. I'd imagine you have more then one pair of pants even though you usually wear one at a time.

X1, albeit I only have 3 Rolex's and realize now how the mood picks the watch.

You answered your own question with that last part. Keep your lucky watch and if you have to, save for the new one.

If you feel YOU can pull it off then people will go off with your vibe. If you don't feel confident then people can sense that. Only you can answer the question if rose gold/steel black diamond is for you or not.

I have a tt sub-c, serti black dial; I enjoy it daily. I don't wear any other jewelry. My "bling" factor is kept to a minimum and tasteful in my opinion.

If you ask my personal opinion, the answer is : diamonds are not for men's watches. But If you like it, that's all it matters so just go ahead!. I have watches that will cause WISers in this forum to raise their eyebrows just because of the brand but I like them and that's all it matters.

I say keep the lucky Rolex and get another. Here's a pic of my DJ with SS/RG, sorry no diamonds for me. The rose gold in the light really looks more like a dark yellow gold and far from a pink look.

That's one of the great things about nice watches they seem to go with everything that you'd wear so for me I pick based more on the PCL/BCL.

I just picked up a SS Daytona and I think it will be getting minimal wrist time compared to my LV and my GMT (16710) just due to the PCLs. My DJ has a couple tiny scratches on the PCLs so normally I only wear it when I'm going out or something and I know I won't be working at a desk typing.

As for the OP's tastes, personally I like rose gold. The 2nd Rolex I ever tried on was a DJ with rose gold and a jubilee band. It wasn't my taste at the time although I am still thinking one day I'll get an old GMT with a jubilee or perhaps Rolex will re-introduce them into the line at some point.

Diamonds I felt the same about, it didn't feel right to me on my wrist although I like the look of the watches and certainly tried them on to see if I liked them.

One watch I liked a lot is the rose gold SkyMaster. If I ever feel like spending that much on a watch I'd definitely consider that bad boy.

I haven't been here very long, but I do know that you came to the wrong place if you want someone to tell you not to buy it.

I hope no one here works a suicide hotline part time :)

One thing I've learned is that when you feel good, you project all kinds of positivity. Call me shallow but when I put on my Rolex I feel like I'm on top of the world; and that positive energy only attracts all kinds of goodness.
If you are in love with what you're wearing, it won't matter what others think. Watches are like art; it's how you feel when you put it on that really counts.

You love it. Get it. Keep your lucky watch and wear it in rotation. A 36 mm Diamond Dial Rose Gold DJ is not sissy!
