I see the next Daytona craze in my crystal ball.
Looking at Daytonas recently I think the next craze will be Daytona with Rolex movement with serial in lugs not on bezel. One thing I am not crazy abt is the new bezel engravings. I like the new case quality just not the visible serial. What do you think do you see this happening?

Hmm I may drop Rolex all together I really think the values are on decline. I own a 1964 Omega Speedmaster Pre Pro that is just abt completely restored that I may make my main watch. I will give back the Daytona this seems to be the worst watch on the current market. I may try to add an AP chrono I have enjoyed Rolex watches for many years but they are not very fun deal with as they were few years back

Up market down market, up and down !!
Again we come to this conclusion about resale or market value! And it's sad but true there is a lot of market talk when it comes to these watches!! But there is one thing that is more current today then yesterday! Why you bought it in the first place! Weather the watch sang too you, or it was the most beautiful thing you have ever seen! We most remember although there is that Market factor don't lose the lust of these times machines that are strapped to our wrist!! We have to remember these are machine made and hand assemble to perfection weather your talking Patek or Rolex!! Both Brands to be very well respected! These truly are works of art and that is the true reason behind the madness of our obsessions !! David Cote |

The Daytona has peaked, for sure. I doubt we'll see anything quite like the madness surrounding it again, at least from Rolex. Prices are too high, and they're made in too many numbers to be serious collectors pieces. If you want my advice, buy the watch that sings to you, because the watch that may be worth lots today could well be worth a whole lot less tomorrow

I mostly agree with Chris but not sure about dropping values in the future.

Those days are over indeed, but i'm convinced the SS Daytona price will be at least steady, just like all the other sports models. |

Oh yes, they can ask it, but it's clear with the number available no one is buying!

Imo I just don't see prices ever dropping, my AD still can't keep Daytonas or Submariner LVCs in stock, and that's while keeping them in the safe at all times.
