Something very similar happened to me about 25 years ago. The only difference was, it was a lot more than $300 and nobody cheered and offered me a beer after I dropped off the money.

On the other hand, after that, my friend couldn't really say no when I needed a favor from him, no matter what it was. Managed to milk that for about a decade

I have four brothers.

Been there, done that.

We still laugh about it today.

All my mates know what a heavy deal it would be to wake me up in the middle of the night.
They'd know that I would realise it had to be a life and death issue.
That was a fun advert.

Cool video. Not too much to ask of a best friend.
