Finally in the club!
Finally got my first Rolex.
This was a wedding gift from my family to me. I had a feeling I would get my dad's Rolex he bought in '79, but I guess he couldn't part with it, and got this for me as a new chapter in my life :) That being said, they didn't leave the wife and got her a 31mm datejust with jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel and floral dial. (she loved it). Hers is coming tuesday since it had to be ordered from another store. Well, I'll start off with mine, here it is! (I hope the bug doesn't bite, because if it does, I see a sea dweller in my future!) |

Congrats! Gorgeous watch. I "spotted" this exact piece on a gentleman at a fancy restaurant where we ate this past weekend. Beautiful.

No, I thought it was a scratch at first as well, but it ended up being the lighting. Almost re-took the picture, but oh well.
I did put a hair scratch on the bracelet though (2nd pic, 2nd link) and I can't believe that. I haven't even gone out with the watch yet. It's been mostly at home etc. The oyster gold part is going to be very hard to keep scratch free. |

Welcome to the club! Dues are $78 and you can send those to me... Jk
Great pic with the TT sub! I love the extra weight the gold gives the watch every time I play with one in the AD |

Trust me, you want that part to get all scratched up because the more scratches you get the more they blend together and become impossible to notice a single scratch and the patina blend looks really good with gold, allows the metal to shine well at all angles with the dynamic texture. In six months it'll be sweet and in five years it'll be epic, and then you get it serviced and start all over again. |
