Refurbishing a yachtmaster bezel insert?
I'm looking at buying a pre-loved yachtmaster platinum model but the bezel insert has some pretty good scuffs.
Any idea what the cost is to have it refinished? Thanks |

You'll have to send it to rsc as I believe there is a special tool for that -
Or so I've been told. |

There's a thread on here about refinishing the blasted finish.

Its best left to full service time time by the RSC or one of the independents like Rikki on forum. As you can bet once you have it polished it will get scuffs again. and too much polishing will ruin the bezel then it will be a very expensive replacement..

If the service history is unknown, I'd do as Peter said and do it upon purchase...

What kind of cost is involved? Did you send the whole watch or just the bezel? |

What is the part # on a red date wheel and are they easy to come by here on TRF?
Also, I have always been told that RSC will not install parts (even though original Rolex parts) to a watch if they did not come factory with that particular model; is it possible to request a red date wheel at time of service? I've tried this with trying to get them to replace a black dial with a Polar on a 16570 and they will not do it. |
