Differences between the Royal Oak 15300 models?
Hi
Can anyone help me on the different Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15300 models? - What is the "ST" (15300ST) standing for, and what differs a "Jumbo" model? aren't these 39mm as well? - When did AP start to use the "silver" dial instead of the milk-white one? - Are there different kinds of the navy blue colours as well? (Like there are different white/silvers) - Should I go for some of the models newer than year xx? (Like some Rolex where the series changes from a specific year etc.) Thanks |

15300 is now discontinued model, successor is 15400 with its 41mm and 15450 with 37mm
- ST stands for steel, jumbo model is 15202 also 39mm sans central second hand, quickset date and it has different calibre 2121 instead 3120 which 15300/15400 have |

Thank you, so there is actually no 15300 Jumbo model? Jumbo refers to the 15202 only?

It is funny that back in the 70's, 80's and 90's that 39MM was considered a JUMBO where now people consider a 39mm a small watch. The AP's do wear larger then most watches because I have a sub-C and it fits fine but the 26300 which is 39mm looks a little big on my 6.5 wrist..

Is there a difference between the navy dials on the 15300 as well? |

The navy on the 300 and 400 Im sure is the same colour as is the white dial which can look silvery in certain light and angle. Only one navy, black and white colour.

I've always thought the blue of the 15400 seemed a little lighter and a little bluer, whereas the 15300 seems a little darker and perhaps has a tad more gray/green in it. But don't know if this is officially the case. You may want to call a boutique and ask them.

15202 also has a better decorated rotor than the 15300 and the 15400.
I think the smaller ROs (36, 37mm) have closed casebacks. |
