No parachron in my 16610 Random Serial Sub

I was dying to know if this Sub from 2010 might have the parachrom hairspring, so I took my random s/n 16610 to my watchmaker yesterday and I guess I can't be too disappointed that it is just a "regular" 3135 movement in there. I feel just tickled to own one of the last 16610s.

The manual that came with the watch should say what the movement is?

No worries. At the end of the day, you still have a Sub.

Great looking Sub Larry. I don't know what one is in my 14060M G serial but it keeps time to a great .75 seconds per day so which ever it is I don't care. I, like you am just happy to have one of the old school Subs!

unless the new hairspring is capable of getting my sub to keep time like a quartz, i'm almost certain the last 400 years of hairspring technology is good enough for me.

Now, surely there have been some hairspring technological advancements in the 400 years before the Parachrom Bleu was introduced.

Well that regular cal 3135 is one of the finest mechanical movements made today,as for a parachrom hairspring well that's just a hairspring. And like all hairsprings perform basically the same and in the real world would doubt if you would find any real benefit no matter the hairspring in the case.As long as any watch is regulated correctly it will be as accurate no matter the hairsping afraid there is nothing macical in a parachrom except now its made in house.

Its a cal 3135 that was first introduced in 1988 and has remained unchanged till present day.Except now some have the in-house made escapement parts.all the mens line up except the chrono range are based on the cal 3135 with or without added complications take away the date its a cal 3130/1 add a second time zone function its a 3186/7

I have recently had my local AD take the back off my G Serial 16610 for the same reason and it did have the new hairspring. It also has the AR on the cyclops. Seems to have been a random distribution of the newer parts making their way into some of the last 16610s. In all honesty though i wasn't overly fussed if it did have the new spring, just glad to have a G serial 16610.
