See what happens when you spend too much time in the modified Rolex thread?
I am SO happy I did this...
BEFORE: AFTER: I really can't believe how easy it was to do... all i did was (after taking a shot of rum for courage) put a razor blade under the edge of the cyclopes and tapped it with a screwdriver handle. POP! Off it went! At first I kinda panicked because it looked like there was a giant scratch where the cyclops was... but a little of my wifes nail polish remover showed it was just glue. No damage done. I know this mod isn't for everyone, or even most. That said I absolutely love it. I couldn't stand how the cyclopes got in the way of telling time when the hour / minute hands were under it. I also could not stand how the watch had to be positioned just right for me to be able to read the date. |

It was good for the SD and looks just as good on your Sub.

Very nice, and it's a bit more covert too now. I've always been on the fence about the cyclops and how it screams "ROLEX" from across a room.
Super brave of you too! |

You sir get today's brass balls award. I think that it looks great. If Rolex offered the Sub this way I might have gotten the date instead of my ND. Nice job!

Definitely gutsy move, not a bad look. I do like the cyclops, however I understand that it is hard to read the date with it unless you look pretty much right through the center of the cyclops.
