Caliber 3135 power reserve?
Searched the forums but to my surprise cant find anything concrete on the 3135 power reserve?
Anyone know what this should be realistically in real life terms? I only seem to get 40 - 45 hours on my 2 watches. |

As long as the power reserve after a full manual wind 40 full crown turns clockwise on any of the 3 series movements is around 39-48 hours plus or minus a hour or so all is fine.Things like mainsprings are often replaced at normal routine service and are one of the least costly components of any watch.

I remember the older ones (10 years ago) were rated at 42 hours, I think the newer ones say 48 hours.....
so somewhere in between...either way you have about a day and a half to get it back onto your wrist |

The power reserve is not there so you can take your watch off for a day or so.. It is there so that your watch has a broad power-curve for accuracy..
Your watch will always be more accurate/precise at the top end of the power band than at the bottom - that is how it was engineered. Do yourself a favor and wind your watch if it is off your wrist for more than overnight...

Occasionally I would take off my D serial # Rolex Turn-O-Graph (3135) Friday evening around 5:30 PM and put it back on Sunday at 4:30PM. I'd wind it up, though it was still showing the correct time. Solid 47 hours of reserve, based on my experience.
If I didn't pick it up until Monday morning, I'd have to reset it. |

Sounds like some good reserves you got there! I guess some smart ass has cut a little piece of my mainspring! Lol Might have to play swapsies again and whip a barrel out of one of my other less favourite calibers!
