You need the small case for the Sub.

Small case for just about any watch but a Panerai or UBoat or something. I saw a friend put a Yacht Master II in a small Oakley watch vault and it fit perfectly.

These are hard to find. Many threads in this topic but Oakley is out of stock...many theories re whether or not they will be sold again.

A knock off called "case buddy" has been seen on amazon.

Good luck.

What's the harm in using the large one?

No harm, just not as snug fitting so the watch will move around in the case. You can just wrap a microfiber cloth inside to take up the extra space. Extra bonus, you've got something to give your watch a quick wipe down before putting it on.

I bought the Amazon Casebudi ($12.99) and I find it to be perfect. It fits my 36mm DJ just fine, fits my 40mm SD perfectly, and even zips closed over my 48mm Breitling (many say it only fits up to 40mm but I don't find this to be the case at all.

Yeah I was going to say I couldn't find the Oakley and bought the CASEBUDi from Amazon. I love Amazon Prime on a side note

Thanks for the recommendation...

Doesn't the Oakley have something in the center to hold the watch more securely? Looks like the Casebudi does not???

The small size should suffice.

Those casebudi cases started at 9.99 when we found them a few months back. Increased sales shouldn't equate to increased prices...well at least not in my world.

It's concave on both sides and meets in the middle, keeping the bracelet from collapsing on itself.

I just bought a large vault from oakley because it looked like the small size. It is definitely 2 big for the sub and i will have to pack it out a little bit it im going to use it for anything 42mm and under.

My Exp 2 42mm istill on the small side to be stored in the large case and fits perfectly in the small case... I would say the lage case would be good for 44mm and up.

I said this before and got dinged...but I'll say it again.

I like the small Oakley watch vaults for storage. I have a few. However, they really are not meant for travel protection. The watch does move about a fair bit unless you stuff the case with a cloth. That's fine if you don't mind.

There are other true travel cases if you need protection...it's a very nice product for what it was meant to do.

The watch will move around inside the case.

The Regent Roll from Logan Zane looks cool. I don't have one, but plan to. He markets this to be used for home safe storage though, not a travel case. Hodinkee also has a cool leather watch roll.

I've been on the "pre-ordered" list with CycleStore for a few of these since December and they just keep backing up the date that the stock is supposed to come in. They do have a good price, but at this point I don't really believe that they'll ever actually get any in stock any more.

They dont charge your card until they have them in stock though; that and because the price is so good, are the only reasons I have not cancelled my order with them.

If anyone just has to have the oakley case instead of the casebudi, they can be had on ebay for around $50-$80US each.

I went ahead and got a casebudi for my after-work gym bag and they seem to be of good quality and do the job well.

I use the Oakley Small Vault for a 44mm Boschett Cave Dweller 2, which is a very tall watch. It just barely fits and once sealed, there is no internal movement.
