Vulnerability?
Hello all. New poster here. Do any of you feel vulnerable when wearing a Rolex? Or am I just imagining it? Some models do seem to attract attention. . .

I've never felt vulnerable - as above, the vast majority of people won't know a Rolex when they see one, and if there's ever anyone who is acting suspiciously, I just slip my sleeve over the watch

Nope. I try to avoid any areas where I may not be safe, regardless of what I'm wearing/driving.

Chris (TheGMTMaster) lives in the UK and his response (posted above) seems to mirror the others...

I've been asked a couple of times if it was a 'real Rolex' and felt a bit nervous but thanks for the replies.

If I was uncomfortable I wouldn't wear it, plain and simple. Believe it or not, very few people notice your watch.

Don't feel remotely vunerable in the UK, barely anyone even knows what a Rolex looks like, don't worry about it

Not gonna lie, I sometimes do since I so frequently take public transportation in NYC (subway, etc.) and my WG DJ with Jubilee really shines.

In New Zealand it doesnt matter, I feel safe there.
In Berlin, Germany when I know where I am going is not a "nice" neighbourhood, I simply dont wear a flashy watch or cloths, its that simple. If you take a stroll thrue the Projects flashing your bling, you will either look like an NFL linebacker or wear pinstripes with black & white shoes |

Yep...my Rolexes attract beautiful women like moths to a flame. Problem is, at my age I no longer remember what to do with them.

NO, but I assume that they assume it's a fake (it's not) , so I don't worry.

Vulnerable? Never.
I did feel a little self conscious initially as it was the most expensive watch I've ever worn and it had the "R" name on it. That dissipated quickly and like has been said, no one really notices or even cares. |

cant say that i feel vulnerable. in the beginning i was a little OCD about not wanting to scratch it but thats really it.
unless youre walking around sticking your watch in someones face and screaming "HEY LOOK AT ME EVERYONE THIS IS A ROLEX ON MY WRIST!!!!" you should be fine |

In the middle of Mexico City I did not feel vulnerable with my rolex on.

Maybe if I wore an in-your-face Yellow Gold diamond bezel target watch I would feel uncomfortable - but I don't...
Most folks don't know a Rolex from a Timex in the typical stainless steel models..
