Advice about appearnce -- too large for wrist?
Hi, everyone: I just need a piece of advice; do you think the Datejust as shown here is too big for my wrist!? 40 mm seems just right; but this is 41 mm. I believe. Anyway, thanks for your comments!

Absolutely not, it looks great! My Daytona wears just about this same size on my wrist (being 40mm of course). Incredible timepiece, and as I have a Daytona exactly like the one in your profile pic and recently acquired a Datejust (36mm though), I have to say you can't go wrong with adding this DJII to your collection!

It looks a little too big for you, in my opinion. Both lugs are too close to both sides of your wrist.
Yeap, looks big for you. But the most important thing that you have to ask yourself is, "-do I like the way it looks on me?-" If the answer is yes, then the watch is perfectly right for you. |

In my opinion the 36mm DJ might fit your wrist better.

I think it looks just fine, but as others have said, it really only matters how you feel with it on your wrist. It's a beautiful watch, that's for sure.

It really only matters what you think. No one outside this crazy watch forum would spend any time thinking about the size of your watch.

Not bad but I think the classic 36mm would better suit your wrist.

Can you post another picture with the watch higher on your arm? It is so close to your hand, and off centered. This makes it difficult to tell. Sharp watch.

Look at it in the mirror in relation to your forearm.

too big - and yes you will get used to it (as the frequently repeated refrain goes) BUT that doesn't mean it still doesnt look too big

One problem with deciding based upon close-ups of watch on wrist is that the perspective of the photo really gives the watch a much larger appearance on the wrist than when viewed from a more reasonable (and realistic) viewing distance, say a yard or so...if you look at some of the close-ups I've posted here you'd swear I've got a 6.5" wrist and a 40mm is borderline large, but in fact it's 7.5", and some of the watches that look quite large in the close-ups look borderline too small when viewed on my wrist in a mirror from 3-4 ft away.
So my advice to the OP would be to spend a bit more time viewing it from that distance, as most people won't be viewing it with their face oriened 5" away from your wrist.

It's an ok size for a sports watch, but for a DJ, it looks a little marge. DJ's should complement your appearance, not be the star attraction! :-)
