Tudor Case Block

Seems like a lot of Tudor questions flying about and I have one myself... Would appreciate some insight from you Tudor guys.

Looking at online pics of the modern Tudor case blocks (THC, BB, Pelagos) the profile thickness looks absolutely monstrous. I realize some of this is just macro photography and from some reviews it seems the total thickness/weight is inline with other sport watches once case back and crystal are accounted for.

I would like to hear some comments on how these watches wear day to day especially in compassion to say a Sub, SD, PO..... More or less top heavy? Fit under a cuff? etc

I have read a few comparison reviews here, but the case thickness still stands out in my mind and would be great to hear some real world experience now that these watches have been around the block.

Thanks

Great question. I too always thought that the cases on many of the modern Tudors looked very thick. Anyone care to share some comparison shots? With Tudor coming to the US I'm sure there will be many threads here with new Tudor questions.

I was wearing an Explorer 114270 for about a year and purchased a Tudor Heritage Chrono about a week ago, which I have been wearing daily ever since. While the THC is obviously thicker and heavier than the Explorer, it still wears very comfortably. The case back sits very flat against my wrist, and I have never once felt that the watch was too big or sat too tall. It's considerably heavier than my Explorer, but it feels well-balanced and not top heavy. I haven't found myself bumping it against things or catching it against tabletops, desks or door jambs - and the watch fits well under shirt cuffs. In my opinion, it looks bigger than it feels/wears.

Thanks for the write up! Great perspective coming from the Explorer. Appreciate it!
