Green Sub with drilled lugs?
I was reading the Watch Time special Rolex edition and noticed on page 69 a photo of an LV with drilled lugs.Is this for real or is it one of Jockes' photos?

I have seen that photo before. I think it was a prototype photo before the LV came out. However, if it does exist then I bet it will be worth some money!!!

That's pretty real, the very early released LV's had holes in the lugs. I don't believe any came to the US market. From what I've seen on the TRF it seems the Asian market received a few of them.

I have seen the green sub with lug holes in the promotional materials only and have never come across with one physically. But some say they only come with the very early batch in Y serial ...

There was lug holes at the that watch Rolex shows at the Basel show 2003. Here is 2 pics I shot there as I never show before where you can see it. Notice they not even set the bezel to line up. Then the watch in the presskit have holes too. But there is no one sold with lug holes what I know. I hope it helps. Jocke

Strange that Rolex chose to exhibit a lug hole version and then decided never to sell it.
