Nothing is scary about what he does in the video. I wouldn't polish the bracelet shiny like he did, but to each his own. Other than that, bending the end piece for a better fit and to prevent rattles is what I normally do to older Rolex bracelets without the solid end links.

The o-ring and or gasket of the crown or case-back is often greased by the watchmakers with silicone grease during servicing to keep o-ring/gasket moist and pliable to keep the watch water proof.
When the o-ring/gasket is dry and hard then a new o-ring/gasket is replaced.

I should have made myself clearer the guy in the video is useless, I was really referring to vlads post about adjusting the endpieces and gasket grease being used. Cheers

Sorry but I cannot imagine a Watchmaker at the RSC taking a big 'ol can of silicone and going to town with their Colgate 360 on someone's rolex.

I don't want to pile on the guy...but watching him try to put that bracelet back on the watch was excruciating.

I know and why on earth would you place the spring bars on top of the lugs to slip them in?!? Go from the back side so if there are marks it will be on the back of the lugs!
