Tourneau Rewards Discontinued
I know many of you would not purchase a watch at Tourneau for any reason, but I received some information that may be of interest to some.
The best AD deals I have found locally for SS Sport watches have been the 10% back in store credit when buying on my 12 month 0 interest Tourneau account. I received a letter this week that the rewards program is being cancelled and points will no longer be issued on new purchases. No replacement program of any kind has been announced. I have developed a 3 step plan to respond: 1) Go redeem remaining points on something nice for my wife. 2) Close Tourneau Account 3) TRF Trusted Sellers, here I come I'm disappointed, but I guess I'm not all that surprised as it seems that every day another rewards program is scaled back or cancelled. It seems a poll is in order. Jason |

I bought there once--a SS SubC. I bought it at retail specifically bec. of the rewards. Without the points, I would never buy from them.

The only thing I do there is have them adjust my bracelets. I am inclined to do it myself, and trust their guy at the KOP location.
The sales associate that handled the transaction was a dummy. He talked out of his ass the entire time, and I just went along with it. |

Probably one of the worst places to buy a watch. Why waste the time. "Rewards", ha, what a joke. We will reward you for paying full price with terrible service--no thanks.

High prices (no discount--just buy here from a Trusted Seller and save 20%+) Attitude city (they are known for this) Bottom line, if you're going to spend this kind of money, go have a great experience at Tiffany's if you're buying a Patek, or another dealer in NYC during your trip. Better yet, contact a trusted reseller and have them save you $$ and no attitude. Just my .02 |

I've never been swayed by any kind of rewards or incentives. Those programs don't exist to benefit the customer...they benefit the store. No thanks.

I went to the Houston Galleria store....stood around for 10 mins while the "sales" idiots talked on their cell phones...one was talking about some party that she went to.
I walked out ....nobody even looked up.....and I was wearing a TT DJ that day.....Most AD's would be all over you like flies on Sh*t with a TT DJ on. A few mins later walked into a BB in the Galleria and the sales "ladies" almost had a fight when they saw I had a Rolex on trying to wait on me. |

You would think they could have just told you in person once you had chosen something you wanted to buy. At least they would have gotten you in the store.
Instead, it's "come redeem your final points in our cr*ppy store, we know you're never coming back afterwards." |

i have no issues with tourneau. they're ok for window shopping and have many brands under one roof. they even had a trade-in store-in-store area (caesars).
but, perhaps eliminating the 'rewards' allows them to hire better staff and call in the possibly hundreds of thousands of $ in un-used points. no 'reward' is free and someone pays for it. i'd prefer a better $$$ neg policy than loyalty programs any day. and 0% is not 0% anyway. no financing. no rewards. no gimmicks. |

The SA here in Vegas said June 17th will be when they will remove the rewards. Some of their staff may not be the brightest when it comes to watch info but you can't deny they have a lot of watches to try on as long as you're willing to listen to them talk. I really don't mind, I only go there to try then I do my research elsewhere.

I've been to look and try on. As to the point program, that stinks. As to what you should do? Depends on how many points you have. Enough to buy a watch? I'd do it; enough for a gift for your wife, I'd do that; but if its just a few points leaving you to pay the bulk of the purchase then it seems like a sales ploy to get you back in to "use" your points before they expire, in that case I wouldn't even give them the satisfaction of going in to close my account, I would just not go back.

I hope that store closes.
A mass exodus of clientele. They need to understand the concept of business competition and honestly while doing business. |

I bought my white dial Explorer II 16570 from the Las Vegas store almost two years ago and had a very pleasant experience. At the time they were offering 18 months zero interest and 10% rewards. I redeemed the rewards just before the one year expiration for a Hamilton Khaki watch. All in all a very nice experience. Since then though, the 18 month financing has been reduced to 12 months and now with the rewards program terminated I see little incentive to buy from them again.

I'm 50/50 on Tourneau.
If in NYC, you must visit the Time Machine on 57th street, any watch lover needs to see that. As far as their Rewards program, they will definitely have a tougher time selling anything unless they can start giving discounts instead. The Sales people are also 50/50, some are more knowledgeable than others and actually do know something about watches and the brands they carry, others "not so much". ...but I will say I have never gotten an attitude (so that's good) always fairly pleasant experience while browsing. |

I guess I'm definitely in the minority here as I've always been treated well at their stores.
Friendly and knowledgable. Once a clerk noticed my Daytona and told me they sell them used for $14K. I offered to sell them mine for $12K cash and the offer was declined. |
