Daytona (116520) vs the Zenith El Primero Striking Tenth

Opinions?
Anyone have or experience both? Are they apples and oranges?
I really like the dial on the Striking Tenth, is it still a "limited edition"? It's slightly cheaper than a Daytona but might not be as durable.

I see on the Zenith website that there is the "plain" El Primero 36'000 VPH ... with the same dial and ~4K cheaper. Are those 10ths of seconds worth it, I wonder.

There's another option in the form of the vintage Zenith A386, which is the original 1970 version of the design used in the Striking Ten.

I've had both of these Zeniths and would consider them worthy contenders, put it this way, there isn't a bad choice out of the Daytona or the Zenith :)

I think he means the 10 second per revolution chronograph hand of the striking 10:

Its a complication that no other company does, and that very few companies are even capable of making, for that reason alone its definitely worth the extra money. If you don't get the striking 10, I'd get the A386 over the regular re-issue. You'll never lose money buying an A386 at the moment.

Can't go wrong with the daytona but the zenith is the best option.

The 1/10 th is an important complication which only a few brands offer.

And besides ... the el primero is THE chronograpgh reference
