TT decisions

Have made the decision to dive into the market for a two tone rolex.
Narowed it down to a sub c or datejust II.
Any preferences on what might look more appropriate on a mid 30s male if there is such a thing!

Thanks gents

Both are great watches, you should treat this as a decision to buy a sports watch or a conservative/dress watch. It may help you decide. My personal choice would be SubC.

Can't believe I'm saying this Sub c. I like the DJ II even less.
Now is the choice was a true DJ or a TOG that's the way I would go.

I was having the same debate as you (I was 25 when I bought it). This is what I picked:

And

The TT Sub is the ultimate desk diver -- no one does it better than Rolex. IMO the DJII is a great watch, but too big for a formal watch. I prefer a thin 38mm watch with a leather strap for that function. We're close in age, and the TT Sub is my daily work watch.

Hmmm, if I have to choose between those two in a TT, I would have to go with the DJII. I am not a fan of TT Sports models, they look nice, I just think gold has its own purpose and is not with SS.....

I really like this watch but can this been worm casual like joggers with a T? My AD was like its really a watch to wear dressed up and the bi sub (blue) would work better for casual.

If youre under 40, Subc is the more youthful, sporty choice.

Easy now, respect your elders I agree, but I am 47 and the SubC, feels just fine. I have a Day Date to cover my old age, LOL.....

I'm turning 33 in a few days.

Here's a shot I took today of my Two Tone Rolex Sub C Black with Diamonds for the hours. Love bling as you can tell from my ring, so the diamonds on the dial appealed to me. I also liked the gold letters for words on the diamond dial vs standard white lettering. Theres a pic of the white lettering dial in a picture posted in this thread. In the end you have to decide which is right for your taste. I'm a big fan of Two tone and don't let anyone with age comments affect your decision. Do whatever you feel is right! Good luck in whatever you decide!

I'm 46. Does that mean I can't wear my 116610LV?

I would go with the DJ II. My tastes dictate that precious metals should be reserved for more formal watches and SS for sports watches. Just go with what you like the best and you won't go wrong.

I'm 25 and my vote goes to the dj2. I have both and IMO the sub is a real tool watch and should be left in ss. The dj2 tt is less dressy than you think, I find my self wearing it with sweats all the time. If you really want something sportier the gmt2-c tt looks amazing

I also think dial choice on the dj2 tt has a lot to do with it. My champagne dial looks a little dressier than the black dial with gold numerals

Gorgeous Sub! From a woman's perspective it is the perfect amount of bling for such a masculine watch. I am interested in owning own myself!

Nice! I love diamonds on the dial, I think they look great! I'm not a big fan of diamonds all over the case or bracelet but under the glass is awesome! They also stay clean so they're always ready to shine their best!
