If the 214270 said Patek on the dial it would cost 25k.
So, I've been tempted to get into the world of "better" watches.
I can truly appreciate the movements, the finishing, the history of the Geneva seal, etc. However, if I look around, I can't find a watch that seems to be as infinitely wearable as my 214270 Explorer 1. You can say the Calatrava with the screw down crown, but here is a WG piece that's on a strap. It certainly comes closest, but is no where near a "do everything" watch. You can look at a Royal Oak, but again, more delicate and outrageous pricing. I want to get a different brand and experience the high end, but the experience seems to be very limited to black tie dinners. Is it just me? Does anyone else have this problem? HELP! |
