Ever buy a Rolex just because it's to good a deal to pass?
I have chance to buy a 16610 A series for right under $3k. I had my eye on a stainless GMTc but I think this is to good of a deal to pass on. I had my local watch guy take look at it and said its its in great shape but doesn't look like its been serviced although its been lightly warn. I don't think it's one I could pass on.

You should get it. Assume it has the bracelet. If you don't like it, you can always sell it more than what you paid.

I'd get it. You can't get a second hand Omega or Tag for that!

What is there to think about?
I have a similar decision to make. A friend of mine is offering $100 bills for $75 and I think I'll go for it. |

While not looking for any new watch right now some deals are just too good to pass up, like this one. I'd have to do it.

Not to be harsh, but why even ask?
Sounds like you don't have the money. This is better than being offered gold at a discount As at least Rolex is moving upmarket. |

That's the only reason to buy a Rolex. Deals are always out there if you look

If it's a great deal, no reason to let it pass unless your wallet does not allow it.

No, I haven't. Sounds good to me, but a great deal is only a great deal if it's something you want.

Ok ok, since you guys twisted my arm I bought the watch this morning. I'm going drop it off at my servicer so he can get it all purdy and new inside and out. I'll post pics when I get it back, about 2 weeks.

Don't blow a nice deal with an unnecessary polish.
Just fix internals and pressure test. Do not have the Exterior touched. Based on everything else you've said I'm pretty certain your watch guy could ruin the watch. |
