Icon20 How do I know who's a trusted seller here on TRF?!?!

How do you know when buying here if it's from a trusted seller? It seems a big risk to just wire someone you don't personally know $20M!

You can read the who's who section, to begin with.

https://www.rolexforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=28

Tony (justrolexes), David (davidsw), Greg (Mosco), Oscar (bodybump) are just the ones who come to mind off the top of my head.

Good luck.....and welcome to TRF.....

What are you buying? A luxury yacht? with $20M to spend, I would definitely had to have a face to face transaction.

Don't know about 20m. But thousands of $ are wired across the world here on TRF. I wouldn't buy anywhere else. Good luck.

Sorry... I always forget to put k instead of M. In the financial world M = 1000 (roman numeral for 1000 is M) and MM = 1,000,000 (1000x1000)

A yacht would be closer to $20MM.

Lol so a Rolex sub could also cost $20D? Like $10,000 because D is 500. How about $10B? Doesn't it stand for 10 Billion dollars? I've never heard of $20M as $20,000 in money lingo maybe in another country but I could be wrong.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional banker or a math genius. So pls do not take my word for it. Lol

On a serious note, you can check the TRF trusted sellers here in the who's who section. Enjoy.

This is correct. We use MM to denote millions in my work too.

3 rules of Trusted Sellers:

History, History, History

Just like Real Estate's "Location, Location, Location" rule; there is no substitute.

It's confusing because some also denote MM as billions. Because M means million so MM is billion. I get confused though.

The OP is correct, in the financial world, banking particularly, we use M and MM. Never have used the "K" in my 30+ years in banking.

Anyway, What I did before I bought on here was look first at the for sale section and see who the most active guys were. From there I made a list and researched the feedback on these sellers in the who's who section.

I've done countless transactions with DavidSW. Perpeptualman is also an honest seller. Like other have said, go to "Who's Who" section.

I am not a trusted seller, so that's one less person to worry about.

The who who's section is great to research. DavidSW is awesome from personal experience.

Regards.
