Rose gold DII vs. Platy DDII
I have been thinking to swap out my DDII rose with chocolate dial primarily because of its fluted bezel. Would you do this or would you give it more time. I have an opportunity to score a Platy DDII at a good price. I always wanted to have a rose gold watch in my collection. What would you do. Rose Daytona is not an option.

My two cents....definitely keep the RG in your collection....you do have two YG....perhaps swap one of those for the PLAT....then you will have RG, YG, and PLAT

Selling one of the YG means I have to let go of the GMT and you will agree how tough that will be. |

It's a lovely watch. If I owned it, I don't think I could bear to part with it - even for platinum.

If the fluted bezel isn't doing it for you, the platinum DD2 is a pretty handy solution!
There are plenty of other watches that come in rose gold that can scratch that itch down the track. In your position, I think I'd do the swap... |

Just too much action happening as of late. Does not make sense having more than 10 watches sit. I will be re-buying the Tudor BB & THC as soon as they hit the states

Tough choice. I personally like the look of the fluted bezel. Until my DJII fluted bezel was slightly damaged. I'm now considering the platinum DDII because of the domed bezel (it does help that it a great looking watch).

You want the PLT DD2 so make it happen, the PLT DD2 can be acquired fairly easily for a STEEP discount. I am a big fan of the RG Chocolate dial DD2 so personally I would keep it, especially if you got it at a good price! Good luck and I am looking forward to your incoming!

IMO I'd Drop it for the plat in a heartbeat. You already have 2 yg gorgeous watches, plat introduces a new totally different metal to your collection that looks totally different from yg.. I never cared for rg that much, always thought it was feminine. Just my opinion you can't go wrong either way, its all preference. You have an awesome collection

Personally, the DDII RG & YG GMT II are my two grails, so I wouldn't get rid of the RG for a plat DDII. However, if the plat DD II is what you really want, maybe you should go for it.

I love the fluted bezel and it is one of the first "must haves" that I needed in a watch. Buttttt! The platinum DDII IMHO is the crown achievement in Rolex! It gets no better. The watch of watches. No flash, pure class. My timepiece of choice when I grow up!
