Black Blue GMT vs 116520 SS White Daytona vs PAM 111/510

Hello all, I'm new to the forum in terms of posting but I have been reading all of your informative posts for a while. I have a sub 116610 LN and a 216570 Explorer II. For my next watch I'm eyeing the new GMTII black/blue bezel, SS White Daytona, or the PAM 111 or next gen 510. My questions for you all are:

1. Does the 216570 make having the GMTII black/blue redundant?

2. Seems like many Rolex Sub owners tend to get a Daytona down the line, should this purchase come before a Panerai?

3. I have a 6.75 inch wrist so a 47mm PAM is no go although the 372 looks awesome. What do you guys think about the PAM 510? should I wait for that or go with the classic 111? the 8 day movement sounds awesome but the "8 Day" lettering on the dial kind of a miss.

Thanks guys!

1. I don't think having both is redundant even though both have 24hr function. I own the GMTIIC and its quite possibly the most comfortable Rolex I own.

2. If you like the Chrono feature along w no date, then the Daytona fits the itch. Personally, I prefer 3 hand autos & I like having a date feature (although its not a deal breaker) & I don't like Chronos w screw down pushers.

3. I really can't say on the PAM 510. I personally have a 112. At first I didn't like the no seconds & no date. Now I feel that if you don't see the date, what's the need to see the seconds?!! Anyway, I also like having the 9. Perhaps one day OP will make my perfect PAM: in house manual movement w 8 day or longer reserve, power reserve on the back, date & seconds functions, 44mm Luminor, 300m WR, w polished TI case & display back.

You have an explorer and a sub. To me that makes the gmt redundant. I would go with the Pam for variety.

In terms of functionality, it's the 4 hand GMT2C for me. The multiple time-zone feature is very useful. It also happens to look like one fantastic watch!

Interesting post. I have a 116520 white face. a 111 and an old school Fat Lady GMT and a 6.75 wrist.

Given your current current lineup - my vote is 111.

Wearing it right now in fact. All good choices - but if you enjoy the Panerai vibe the 111 is a great place to start.

Black and Blue.. i think, rolex will develop a Pepsi bezel and the Black and blue will be short production,, possibly making it a collectible later..

go for the daytona...avoid the PAM like plague. I had one ...now I would not have one given...looked great but build terrible...in just 8 years from new went for repair 3 times. JUST MY EPERIANCE but not in the same class as Rolex.

IMO go Daytona for your next watch and don't give it a second thought.

1. Not at all.
2. Have you tried on a Daytona? If you're considering Panerais, a Daytona may be too small for your tastes.
3. I've tried a 372 on my 6.5" wrist and thought it looked ok. The 510 is (IMO) going to replace the 111 as the bread and butter model... despite the "8 day" mess.

ExpII Vs GMT. GMT tracks three time zones.
