You've eliminated the only two I would consider with the Daytona and AP. how about a Tudor but if you have 10k you could get another watch at the same time. Maybe the new THC and a Speedmaster

For a chrono, I would recommend something with a manual wind and display back. Then you can see the ingenious movement that makes a chronograph so special. The rotor of an automatic gets in the way!

The ALS 1815 Chrono is sublime. Something more affordable is the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional. There are others out there!

Or go for vintage, like an early Breitling Navitimer. A Classic!

I've never been a big fan of chronographs. But I do like the look and how the Daytona wears. Bit over budget I know. Otherwise the Omega moon watch would be nice choice.

What about something like a Breguet Type XX? I like the Speedmaster suggestions as well, personally I'd go with the classic moonwatch. The new ceramic one is nice as well.

For less than $10k, I recently picked up a Type XX and a GP 4956 chrono. Both are in very nice shape, have classic looks, and I ended up with a white dial and a black dial chrono.
