Spanish food...
Err buddies...sorry Orchi meant no offence to the Spaniards... Orchi
When in Spain, I happened to have my first dinner at this little corner nice restaurant with a unique ambiance. Since this restaurant is next to the bull ring, all the paraphernalia are related to bullfighting. When I opened the menu, to my horror, all the food look Greek to me. I just didn't know how to order. To hide my ignorance, I pointed to the waiter that I would like to order what the romantic couple sitting over there were eating. Though I could see each of them was having tennis ball sized meatball, they seemed to enjoy the food very much. In fact they were ravishing it. The waiter politely told me that I need to order that dish 24 hours ahead. Feeling disappointed, I chanced upon the menu offering Swedish meatballs and had to contend with that order. But before I left, I placed my order and promised to return the next day. I went to the same restaurant the next evening and was greeted very warmly. In fact dinner was already served. Then the waiter opened the food cover and seated on the large plate were two small balls the size of a large marble. I stood up and complained very loudly whereupon, the Chef came to my table immediately. "How come last night the couple were served with a much much larger balls and here on my plate, I have these two miserble ones." Then the Chef shrugged his shoulder and apologetically said, "But si senor, today the bull won." |
