Coke to Pepsi

I just switched the Coke colored bezel insert to the Pepsi colored insert in my 16710. I thought it would be harder to do than it actually was, but it was soooooooo easy. I just followed Jocke's video from the past, and 'voila'. And the AD wanted to charge me $50 dollars for something that was as easy as making toast. The most challenging part was disassembling the entire watch with that old butter knife I'll send a pic later. After 6 years, I'm barely getting used to the change.

If you don't insist on the AD using the butter knife it will cost less...

But seriously, good job saving some dough!

Genuine for the AD. I got the Pepsi colored for $50 and the all black for $75, if I recall. It's been awhile.

The AD allowed me to keep my original insert when I purchased the second and third. Here are the before and after shotz. Like I said, I been a challenge getting used to it.

I like the black bezel on mine but I think the Pepsi is more fitting for the model. That, and I'm tired of people asking me if I'm wearing a sub.

Switched mine myself a while back too. Pretty easy...getting the new insert fully in took a little bit.

Instead of using a butter knife I used the end of a plastic spatula. Worked fine and no taping or worries.

He is in Reno, Nevada, now. His bigger shop used to be in Modesto, about 40 miles south of Stockton. He still has a small shop that can get parts. Harland Jewelers. I bought my insert about a year and a half ago; I just finally got the nerve up to put it on.
