What do you think?

My AD offered me a little less than a 13% discount on the Explorer 2 @ $7100. What do you think? That's $1000 off of retail. Should I go for it?

$7100 OTD is good. If its plus tax I would buy from a trusted seller on the forum. Good luck.

I agree: good deal if this can be accomplished, then it becomes 20% off.
Good choice of watch!

I got 10% on mine and was happy. I did have it shipped out of state so I avoided the sales tax as well. 13% is good.

Lol, which isn't legal so I wouldn't advertise I did that on a public forum

Before I offer an unqualified agreement to go to a trusted seller on
TRF, be sure to consider the net cost differential. How much is tax in your area? What are the costs associated with shipping from a trusted seller, will you then take it to an AD for a once over, costs associated with that too.

What can you find from a reseller on TRF as far as age and condition, compared to factory fresh from an AD? What is that worth? Maybe not a thousand dollars, but it should be considered. Might you go back to that AD for another watch, some jewelry for your wife, etc ? And you could get a few more bucks off the Exp II when you're ready to pull the trigger!

Not to say you should not consider resellers on TRF, but when all is said and done, there is some value (to me, at least) in dealing with an established AD with whom you may cultivate a long term relationship.

Valid point and I agree with you
