Authentication Help Required (Rolex 16233)...Please.

Hi Guys.

I'm new to the forum and would appreciate your expert help.

I bought a Rolex Datejust from Sanderson&Son about a month ago please see link below for actual watch.

http://www.sandersonandson.com/51830.shtml

When I received it, the size of the date magnification looked a bit suspect. I got in touch with Gary (Nice guy btw) and he agreed to have his watchmaker have a look at it and swap the crystal out if need be.

I just received an email from Gary stating that the crystal had been replaced but still looks the same to him (with regards to magnification). He assured me that the crystal fitted is 100% the correct one for the model/year.

I am due to receive the watch back tomorrow but am still a little unsure about the magnification issue (despite the reassurances).

Can anyone experienced enough shed some light of date magnification? and indeed if some models have lower magnification?

Many thanks in advance.

Looks fine to me. Should have a 62563 bracelet, date mag looks fine

Why on earth would you buy something THEN get it authenticated?

Sanderson&Son had been recommended on this forum, so I knew that it was a safe purchase.

It was just when I received it, the date mag seemed to be smaller than on other DateJusts.

They state in the ad that it has a brand new crystal so why would they have a watchmaker check it out and then replace it again?

When I enquired, he stated the crystal was faultless (probably replaced not long before he acquired it)....hence the 'new crystal' in the description.

Thanks for the reassurances guys.
