Explorer on Nato! Love it!

Don't know why but the thought of equipping my watch with a NATO strap never crossed my mind, but recently having watched a few James Bond movies, I thought Ill give it a shot and bought the Bond Nato from PHOENIX straps on Ebay, apparently the suppliers to the MOD, if its good enough for them, im sure it will be good enough for me!!

I must say I LOVE this new looks, the NATO is super secure and unlike the bracelet, provides an optimum secure fit, without being too tight and it wears lighter. The Nylon is of very high quality and for £10, really cant go wrong with this combination!! Why didnt I do this earlier!?? THis is awesome!!

Here are some poor photos ;)

And by the way, if anyone is looking to get the James Bond Box Set on Blu-ray, HMV is the cheapest!! I got mine for £71.99 after the 10% weekend discount!! This is the cheapest of all online retailers, quite amazed they can provide it so cheap!!

Looks great, I just never find a Nato comfy. Keep trying them, but I never manage more than a few hours...

After some snipping here and there, the Nato is OK but not much different from other similar bands and looks great on a Citizen. I cannot see it on any of my Rolex watches.

Sadly, I have not the skill, tools or courage to start on that trip and the nato that I 'modified' now lives on a Citizen. I would love to experiment with various fabric bands on my watches, especially the new Explorer II.

Looks great, nothing looks as good on a Nato as the Exp I, and the 14060 imho.

Honourable mention goes out to the classic Speedmaster Pro too.

Yup. That thin expy was made for a NATO I think!

Got the same color scheme strap as you and I ordered some more that I haven't even tried on yet.

Yeap, it works. The Explorer looks like it was made for nylon.

I hate to inform you that that's not the actual 'bond' strap. Here's some information: http://rolexblog.blogspot.com/2008/1...n-connery.html

The actual bond strap has red in it.

Haha no worries, I know that, PHOENIX sells the Connery version too :) But I didint want to have the red in it! Wanted a more rugged military look!
