Do you prefer the Diver or a 42 ROO?
Ready to pull the trigger on a Diver but not sure if perhaps I should consider one of the 42mm ROOs? Only thing is I hate the deployant on the 42s so would need to buy a tang strap and tang buckle to replace it.
Any one here own the Diver and a 42mm that could comment on their pros and cons? Thanks! |

Owned both at the same time. Very different looks. But I like the diver. It's simple and elegant. I had the panda and it was awesome but it looked awesome because it was on bracelet. The diver comes on a super comfy rubber strap.

If I could have either Panda, my fav ROO, or Diver I would pick the Diver, just love the black mega tapisserie dial and the Diver strap is wider and much better proportioned as I think most other APs taper down too much. But nothing in it really, so just go with what makes it the hardest for you to go to sleep at night - that's how I knew my next AP was the one for me.

Tough call! Love the Diver and the Panda but I'd probably go with the Diver first.

I love my Diver, it is by far my favorite watch in my collection. The Panda may be next for me.

Diver. The strap and tang buckle can't be beat. I also like the clean dial and I'm not really a fan of the Arabic numbers on the 42mm ROO.

I used to dislike the strap deployant on the ROO but after some use, it's actually very nice.

I have the panda on a diver strap. Works great. I also have the original bracelet that the panda came with and also another OEM black hornback strap with deployment to add variety. Pictures below for reference.
I am actually looking to sell this entire combo. PM me if interested. |

I went with the Diver as a first, hope to add a 42mm ROO Chrono next when the timing is right. I think the Diver looks great and is very versatile.

Looks great. Agree, the diver is one of the most versatile ROOs. By the way what size wrist do you have? The diver looks a tad bit on the small side on your wrist...maybe its the angle of the photo...maybe its time to upgrade to a 44mm ROO...

My wrist is 8" and flat, most watches look a little small I would love to go 44mm but due to the extra cost with 44mm it would mean that would be phase 3 after getting a 42mm first, then trading it in so its not so much outlay at once. Less friction with the wife this way
